Hello Fellow Buckeye Alumni,

What an incredible nail-biting victory against Notre Dame! We are looking forward to seeing the Buckeyes take on Maryland this weekend.

My name is Brian Bollenbacher, and I was recently elected as president of The Ohio State Alumni Club of Erie County. On behalf of the Alumni Club’s Board of Directors, I wanted to reach out with a schedule of upcoming events, an introduction of new board members and an overview of what our club does and its philanthropic intentions.

We currently have two game watches scheduled this year:

  • October 14 – Ohio State @ Purdue
    • Landmark Kitchen and Bar – 101 E Water St, Sandusky, OH 44870
    • Kick-off time TBD
      • Festivities will begin 2 Hours prior to kick-off
        • 50/50 raffle
        • DJ
        • Food and Drink deals
  • October 28 – Ohio State @ Wisconsin
    • Water Street Lofts Driveway – Outdoor Tailgate on the NE corner of Decatur St. and W. Water St. in downtown Sandusky
    • Kick-off time TBD
      • Outdoor TVs / Projectors
      • Tables and seating
      • Family friendly
      • Food and drinks provided
        • Welcome to bring your own beverages

Philanthropic Endeavors:

  • Current – Each year, we provide 15 scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to Erie County students attending The Ohio State University
  • Since 1981 – our club has provided nearly $300K! in scholarships
  • Facer Park – our club manages the upkeep of the beautiful Facer Park in downtown Sandusky. This includes planting, mulching, weeding and cleanup efforts.

If you are interested in joining the Club or if you were a former “annual renewal” member:

  • We have recently gone to a simpler membership option – One Lifetime due of $100
    • Lifetime dues increasing to $150 in 2024, so join soon
